So here we are in June!!!! blimey, soon be hitting the 1st retirement anniversary! So what has been happening in June?? Lots by the look of it πwe start off with the quilt above! ta dah! another tick off the fettle list (hint this month was a reallllllly good fettle month!) This was the string sane quilt from Sarah Fielke, good pattern but oh my goodness, over 260 4.5 inch blocks all cut on the bias .... but hey it looks good!
Aboove is another big fat tick off the fettle list, the temperature embroideries from 2022. I put them together in a book and now they are happy beside the embroideries from 2021. I also included the mini series blocks which i think go quite well with them.
Progress on the Carina Craft Blog wheel of the year. I may have too many wheel of the years on the go! (what over commit? me?) but I do love this one.
NOT MY WORK!!!! There was a call out for folks to quilt and bind tops for sibling together, I took on 8 of them, 2 have been done and I want to get the others done before I crack on with more of my own stuff, I managed to get 2 done before I went on holiday.Speaking of holidays .,.... me and the scoobs went to Skye and Orkney! Amazing trip, we had two little stowaways with us πthere will be a guest blog post detailing their adventures!
This was the cottage we were staying at in Skye, oh my it was fabulous (not such a good mattress though ...) but much sewing was done!
Above was another tick off the fettle list! The mini Macaron pouch from Rose Garden Patchwork, I dont know what took me so long to do this it was such an easy make!
Again above is NOT MY WORK! I fitted in a quick visit to Mams and found these down the beach, how cute are they!
OK above is my work π Skye gave me lots of time to catch up on Blossom Jane, I got a whacking 7 blocks done! and another row was finished. More pics on that to come but not for this post as weather is shocking just now.
The weather just now is tooo bad to get a proper pictureof this but its done!, the top above gave me so much pleasure but also sooooooo much pain too, but isnt he gorgeous, and this is the back of the quilt!
After Skye we went to Orkney, oh my the picture above sums up what I cant express in words, so much happiness with lovely lovely chums.
What a fantastic month to furtle in! Hooray for finishes and the fettling of them *waves pompoms* Thanks for Furtling!
