Temperature embroideries 2023

This marks a real moment. For 2 years this pile has looked at me. When I was upstairs and still not able to sew i saw this every time I went to the sewing room which was every day. These are the temperature embroideries for 2023, paired with a monthly cross stitch from Victoria Sampler. I stitched those cross stitches when I first got long covid. There was a long long time I thought i would never be able to do these but here we are!

Now I have 12 bordered and trimmed cross stitches!
All pages sewn together,  got to add inner sashing to leaves then join leaves
And here they are all made up!

I did a video of all my embroideries together, I dont think ill go back to recording temperatures im quite happy at the moment recording pages read 😊 but i really enjoyed these

Wheel of the year

And that's a wrap!!! The 2023 Celtic Wheel of the year from Carina oh my how much did I love doing this one!!
I loved last year's, this year was a very different take which I like. I enjoy Carinas patterns so much there are always a lot of new and different stitches with videos to accompany them. I didn't always follow the stitches she used and that's fine. Carina makes these to be adapted. This will go on the wall with last years 😊

A big difference! Can you actually see the tree 🤣🤣🤣 It's all very apocalyptic isn't it!! It's been dark all day but this is ridiculous 😳
I'm still thinking what to do for next year. But let's leave the tree with a bit more of a festive view, taken earlier in the day earlier this week.

A big difference I think! A lot lot leaner, you can see the clock changes a lot darker, verges probably less green but the light makes it difficult to see?
I've really loved doing this project this year. I do want to carry on next year and am busy thinking about what subject to pick? Maybe something in the garden 🤔

No blue sky and verges definitely leaner and less colour, tree looks less bushy but that might be because tree behind it has fallen down?
