Floral Alphabet sampler

Goodness I have had this for about 5 years so it's high time it got started
I do love it, the fabric is so very soft to work with its all done in quite subtle shades
I love my shroom needle minder but its not very magnetic, well it is and it isnt,  but it's lovely.

I decided to do all the letters first then do the flowers, that was the right choice

I loved doing the foxglove i do love a colonial knot

And its finished!!!! I managed eventually to quilt and bind this, i used some liberty from my stash. I love this and am so glad to have done this

2025 end of year fettle post!

Well 2025 has been productive! What have I done?
Ticked off in 2nd half of 2025

Ticked off in first half of 2025

The pictures below are slightly out of order, blogger being a pain in the backside again 🀦‍♀️ but you get the jistπŸ˜‰
Thanks again to Archie the Wonderdog for hosting and keeping us on track

December furtle

There is a cross stitch with a swear word on it further down please dont read on if easily offended 😊
So! December has been productive! I worked hard to catch up on my pages read embroidery tracker, I had a good few months to catch up on but managed to squeek in for December 30th, this will be my first finish of 2026!

I also cracked on with the Floral Alphabet Sampler from Pretty Fabrics and Trims , I've satin stitched all the initials first (the most boring bit πŸ˜‰) so now im doing the more interesting bit, the flowers
This was such a joy to stitch, Holiday House from Satsuma Street, I didn't keep up with the schedule but I got it done in time for Christmas, it just love the colours so much
My final (and a bit sweary) finish for 2025, i love this so much, pattern by Innocent Bones, i think it sums up my feelings about 2025 🀣🀣🀣
Once again at huge thanks to Archie the Wonderdog for hosting the furtle and the fettle, its been a joy and this year a wonderful anchor for me

September furtle

OK! I'm digging out some old kits to use up, this one is the Floral Alphabet Sampler by Sarah Edgar Pretty Fabric and Trims, I've had this since 2020, it's time has come to shine! It's lovely to work on

This is a Xmas sew along from Satsuma Street, i love Jodies patterns her use of colour is amazing
Not going to lie though the metallic thread is a b***er to  work with 🀣
Below is one of my blocks for this month's siblings bee, still got another in progress but should manage it by th6end of the week
One more pick a petal block just another 17 to go 🀣
This is my SAL at the end of September, I'm really loving doing this one
And this is my progress on the floeer Alphabet, it's so soft and sweet
Whoops! I forgot my fabric inventory for this month 2.3/4 meters out and zero in which I'll call a win!
And that's it first this months furtle! Thank you Archie the wonderdog for hosting 😊

August furtle

Well!!! It's been a great month! Look! Actually sewing! This is the August bee block for siblings together can't believe I actually sewed this 😊

My round and round the woodland sampler is done! How cute is Mr Badger πŸ₯°

Lovely chum Ruth sent me a care package from FOQ ❤️
I git some fabric cut up to start the applique on this but the Pick a petal BOM has taken over!

The two finished Siblings blocks

It took a while and some sweary words but my center block for this is done!
I also got the first of 30 of these done! All hand sewn 😳
After the round the woodland SAL I started this I've had it since 2020 so now it's time has come!

I still can't believe I made this! Yup it's not the best I've made but I'm ridiculously proud of it
One of our selkie chums is having a hard time and the group is putting together a care hamper for her I wanted to put in a pouch and some Doric gifts she is from the North East too. This took me over a week but it's done! So chuffed!
Also my obsession with needle minders continues 🀣

For a bit of accountability and to hopefully keep me on track I want to start posting some fabric stats at the end of each furtle post, I keep a fabric inventory each year, how much fabric in and how much out. Its normally been fairly even but last year it was about 2 meters more in that out but since I stepped doing any quilting in June I think that's understandable I had bought loads thinking I would use it up but couldn't. I hope to rectify this 😊 the main reason I'm doing this is for our move in 3 years. I want to have made significant dents in the stash, let's see what I can do 😊
OK that's pretty good considering I've just started sewing again! The 13 meters out has technically not been used yet but it's been paired up sorted out and is ready to go so I'm counting it here 😊

July furtle!

Well July has been a busy month!!! I'm loving being able to stitch again, it's fab, I've been mainly working on this at the start my sashiko Snowmen panel.
Also this round and round the woodland from Stitchdoodles
And my teacup cross stitch
My lovely chum gave me a flower sashiko panel so I bought these variegated threads from Jspsn crafts for it
But this is the big news!!!! Scoobs brought my seeing machine downstairs πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

And I sewed on it! Small steps but all in the right direction
Finishes!! I have finishes!!! I finished the sashiko Snowmen and the teacup!!!

So July has been a very productive month!
