Tiny 9 patch challenge

This was started in January2024 a SAL from Reproquilter, the tiny 9 patch challenge. I choose to do the 3 inch finished size, each square is 1.5 inches. It took a big back seat due to long covid. But in late 2025 inmanged to pick it up again. 

So to start with 196 of these!!!!!

My liberty scrap box was overflowing this was a good way to make a dent in it.

Some strip piecing saves the day!

It really annoyed my chum Olga that this used the American spelling 🤣

I think i got these sample packs from Natalie 

 

Starting to layout rows, I got light pink lawn for the joining blocks. After a disastrous experience with blue 🤦‍♀️

I was surprised at how quickly it came together,  but all the bias 😳

Well that was me up to june 2024 ... then of course LC hit. But over the past year I've managed to put on the borders, send to Cath for long arming and bind it! 🤸🤸🤸

I had this embroidery kicking about so decided it would make a great label

Im so chuffed this is my first post LC finish! Here is Mark doing what he does best 🥰🥰

The backing was made up from the last liberty quilting cotton i had from a huge haul i got from Trudi Wood

And it another finish fettled!

This post was started in the 17th August 2020, let's not get it to it's 4th birthday still in draft form!

I must have done the first batch of fabrics on February 2018!! That was the date on the floatation liquid bottle I used ... then i must have done some more in August 2020 so this is my oldest WIP by far!!! Let's get it off the list 😊

This is on my finish along list! (Now fettling list! This is how.old this qip is!)  I had great fun with this, just love doing this but it is a little bit of a faff to set up.

Ive said it before and will no doubt say it again! organisation is key 😊

Blocks drying

I do love this one!

I had 2 choices for background but the white didn't cut it

So the black won 😊

I also had 2 choices of setting the flying geese is fine but covers up too much of the fabric 

So I went with snowballing it

Pretty chuffed with how it turned out

And here we are!!! My lovely Scoobs, I really enjoyed making this and have lots more paint left so who knows! Another may be done 😊
