May 2026 swimming

So! I needed to test if my swimming suit still fits! Turns out I can still squeeze the girls in there 🤣

I really wanted to test how accessible Gartmorn Dam is as a swim spot. Turns out its very accessible! One min in wheelchair from parking and you're there! 

Getting in is pretty straightforward, only issue is swans and the folks who feed them!

yes it was brilliant, im still adjusting to how it is now, changing still feels clumsy and awkward but I'll get better once I get more practice!

GD looked after my bobble hat going there 😊 And this is another new swim spot for me! That's my 73rd dook and 20th swim spot

Oh my word, I dont think there are words to express my feelings. We got my swimming things out before we went to Benderloch that on itself was marvellous.

We had planned and planned and thought there was a possible entry point up there. It involved Mark wheeling me across some grass then I had to walk across some shingle before the high tide.

I did it! To be honest it was surreal and I dont know if i fully took it all in.

One of the best bits was writing up my dipping notebook, that felt special ❤️ 

And telling the Selkies, this was a big moment .
