February look back

Well, february has been a funny old month. This is GD, Mark gets him to look out the window each lunchtime to look for the 12.30 freight train. It makes us smile 🙂

I have been sitting out every day this year in the morning aiming to get some sun, its been a sair fecht this year! so blooming wet ...
But we had valentines! I had fizz (plus some dessert wine) and it was a lovely night

Scoobs has been using the power washer we got from our neighbour Alex,  what a difference!
This will really help with the house move.
We have had some sun!
I had a visit from a selkie, Jan! she brought me daffodils, they are so pretty and smell lovely
This kind of sums up February!
GD watching his train 🥰

Im in a bit of a dip just now but its ok, Im learning so much about me about how I feel and what i want going forward, there are things and people I definately dont want to go back to, Im learning a lot. Not just about me but about other people.

January 2026 look back

Oh the world feels very very heavy just now, what a time to be living in 🤦‍♀️ but we carry on. scoobs has been experimenting with his go pro, some lovely shots of the moon behind our house

We had snow! not too much here and it always makes me so happy to be retired again, no commuting in this
Marks comment on this was that i looked liked a reject from Star wars 🤣🤣 Ive had dreadful insomnia so have been looking a binaural beats and wanted to get a new set o fheadphones for it. This is the {very expensive} official snoozeband ones, very good but way too bulky for sleeping in and way too hot as well, so i got a pair of cheaper ones which are a lot better.

Lovely Ruth came up trumps with this wee gift!
Shona sent pictures of flooding at Banchory
My new routine is to sit out on the balcony every morning for the natural sunlight, its quickly become a non negotiable part of my day, I will never tire of this view

Much excitement! we have ordered a new sofa, this is Mark measuring to see if it will fit. and it does!
Oot au balcone!
More go pro footage!

Farewell Keith Ritchie, one of the good guys from school, very sad to hear of his passing he was a kind gentle soul.

December look back

December has been a challenging month, when you associate a month like December with trauma it's hard not to be triggered when the songs start playing and the adverts and posts on every single platform scream about it
I could actually feel my body sigh with relief on boxing day. Still there have been highlights. My annual advent calendars from beautiful Jacky

I treated myself to this, I do love a bit of brutalised. There is a lot from Aberdeen in here which is lovely
Awwww there is a lovely new lady in the selkies swimming group Giacci, she sent me this from her Christmas cracker
The boys had fun opening their calendars 😊

I did have some lovely gifts on Christmas day these were from Jacky

The tea is brilliant!

I asked Mark for these mugs they are from my favourite wallpaper designer, I'll never be able to afford her wallpaper but this will do!

Christmas day itself was lovely  i managed downstairs had done fizz, some lovely gammon and watched the big telly 😊

One of the highlights of this year has been standing on the balcony, I love it, today the last day of December has been frosty but bright

And thats it, thats a wrap for 2025

November look back

Well! This was an adventure! I went downstairs! We have a new telly and the living room has been redecorated so I wanted to see what it was all like. I managed it fine and it didn't feel too bad at all, GD approves
Chilly challenge continues!
I sewed! Also arsed up winding a bobbin!

Lovely new scarf from Ruth!
Went Xmas shopping!

Advent calendar!
The snow was stunning
Advent calendar for Munro

Just loving getting out on the balcony!
My wee meter square

A good month, some ups and downs but it all going in the right direction
