We are back now! in the land of laptops not phones and reliable wifi!!
So lets write this all up before the next adventure!!to be honest I never thought Mark would join me in the wild swimming adventure. He has enough outdoors things of his own to be doing. But his chum Amy whose dog we look after is the same build as Mark and loaned him a wetsuit to try out when we were on Lismore.
A nice lady who i gave a lift to for one of my outdoor swims loaned me a wetsuit to try as well.
The cottage we rented was literally on the shore so there was no excuse! Had one coffee first thing then got into our wetsuits and off we went!!!!
Mark loved it, really really loved it!!! What an adventure, we only stayed in up to 10 minutes, the water was cold and we were pretrty cautious as we are both very new to this. But oh my, how utterly wonderful to see the early morning sky and the amazing scenery from the sea.It is safe to say Scoobs is now a full convert, Im so happy! I dont think he can or will come as regularly as me but now he is keen to join me whereever he can and we can make sure our holidays include a dip!
It was such a lovely day, the weather was incredible. We knew we needed to get the ferry from Lismore to Port Appin on the monday so we thought a wee trial walk to the Ferry terminal would help us guage how long it would take.
As well as finding out how long it would take us we also saw the most amazing scenery!
Ohhhhhhh there is a beautiful graveyard
These stones were so beautiful
We had a lovely drive around, back to the cottage for some food and some wine! We wanted to watch nice gentle fun films so on the first night we watched Bank of Dave, then on this second night we watched the 1950 version of Treasure Island, both great fun and perfect holiday viewing.
