February furtle

oh goodness my pictures are all back to front! but i suppose that is art imitating life? Apologies normally this is a safe place away from the world outside but no where feels like a safe space at the moment.

I will do a full write up on this as a separate post but wanted to highlight here this Hexie project pouch, pattern by Vintage Sewing box I aodred making this for a lovely chum who is heading back south to be nearer family. I will miss Jo so much but it is adieu not goodbye! It was also a good test of my new bionic eyes!

Im in Lucy Engles fabric mystery club!!! how fab is this bundle? this is the first bundle for this year just the burst of bright summery gorgeousness i needed!
I put together the first 4 rows of my Blossom Jane quilt using the black sashing. I was worried it might overwhelm the blocks but i think it works, it is small enough to separate them without overwhelming them?
This was my big finish for the month! the lion floral big cats pattern seen here with his mate the panther. I love doing these patterns but hobbylanding, and am totally over the moon with the way he has turned out.

And thats it for February, here is hoping March is a good month!

  1. Wow, that lion is amazing! I love the black sashing between the Dear Jane blocks, it looks like grouting in an ornate tile floor. The hexie pouch is gorgeous, I bet Jo loved it. Hooray for finishes! *waves pompoms* *sends an enormous hug*
