Which Budsmam are you?

You have to laugh! I went out to get some fuzzy wuzzy fence post pictures but didn’t notice that I had turned the camera the other way round ... in my defence it was very bright! So instead of 8 fence posts I got one fence post and 7 partial budsmams .... my lovely chum Ruth said it was like the game of “which Mrs Slocombe are you?”

So which one are you 😂😂

FAL 2021 Q2!

and off we go for Q2 of the 2021 FAL, and yes I know I know its not on blogs any more! But I like to have it here too as well as on IG.

No 1 - Blossom Jane, I’m really keen to get cracking on this, I have made good progress but need to make more!

No 4 - yes I know look blogger jumbled up my pictures and I cant be bothered getting them in the right order! So no 4 is a selvage quilt.

No 9 is a liberty he is tile quilt for the Alice Caroline SOS project.

No 5, well when you have super lovely chums who give you fabrics to use for charity quilts it would be roode not to put them on the FAL list! Im still deciding on this one, but a disappearing 9 or 4 patch might be an idea?
no. 6 in the same vein! the lovely Lou from Flip flop fabric shop sent me a jolly bar and a charm pack for charity quilts, so I am happily sewing these together.
No 8 - I have had a pattern for a hexie sewing case for a while and when i get my cataract surgery done i will be able to see to EPP a bit more, and I cant think of better fabric than liberty for that.
no 10 - well there is a smidge of liberty left over from the garden trellis quilt ... yes just a smidge! so it will become another Alice Caroline SOS quilt
No 3, Michael Powell Cross stitch
No 2 - Garden Trellis quilt, all ready to be longarmed!

and thats it, lets see how Q2 goes!

Blossom Jane row C

I took a side road and ended up concentrating the garden trellis quilt. Which is fine, but because it was liberty and hence very fussy and needing a smaller needle I could only concentrate on that and nothing else, didn’t want to blunt it with paper piecing. Never mind we are now firmly back on the blossom Jane track!

Omg the one above almost killed me, seriously this one kicked my bahouki 😂😂

Lessons learned on C05 made the one below slightly easier, the emphasis on “slightly” 😂

I adored fussy cutting for this one.

Och they are all int he wrong order  but you get the jist! I will put them all together and add them to there previous rows.

End of an era

awwwwww look at his little face 😂 end of an era for mini mini Bud, his favrit liberty seller and beneficiary of much of my credit card debt is winding down her liberty selling ..... yup ower beloved Aunty Sarah - Duck egg threads is moving in new directions which is sooper exciting for Sarah but oh so sad for a little felted puppy 😢

but loooooooook! he got a shout out as her "most favourite customer ever!!!" Well that cheered him up 😂

We first came across Sarah when she so generously sponsored the Stitch Gathering, I kept those packets of beautiful liberty hexies and some folks who *whispers* dont like liberty 😱 just plain weirdos if you ask me!!! but they were kind enough to give them to me which was lovely! so maybe I shouldnt call them weirdos! - sorry ...
anyhoo Sarah was ever such a super person to buy for, she fully engaged with Bud, both mini and mini mini and she even started addressing my liberty deliveries to him!! that caused some stir with the neighbours I can tell you! she also really outdid herself with this ....
his very own VIP liberty lounge for the 2018 FOQ 💗 how amazing is that! and Mr Duck Egg Threads helped with the sign, what a lovely pair!

so end of an era, but we wish you all the very best Sarah with your new endeavours and we will see you virtually in your sewing socials !
