New notebook

How beautiful is this! I bought this when Scoobs and I first went to Florence in 2015, it took a few years until I decided what i wanted to use it for. I wanted to use it to note down all the classes workshops and holidays I went on.

The first event noted down in it was from a class the Edinburgh Modern Quilt guild did with Jenny Haynes, such a fantastic class so so many happy memories of that.
The last event noted down in it was the Gartmore in 2023 with the Killearn group. I dont think the notebook would have last 4 years if the pandemic didnt shut down all travel and most classes for me!
So ..... the happy news is I picked up another one of these books when I went to Florence on my own in 2019. I am now over the moon because it is finally being used for a solo trip, yup Budsmam is heading to Nantes! I am all booked up for "Pour l'amour du Fil 2023!!!!!!!
Exicted? you bet. Terrified - yup that also! But I will do it and this will be me getting back in the coming out of shielding saddle.
I will be back with full update at the end of April 😊

  1. It’s a lovely way to both use a lovely notebook with a special memory attached and to keep notes of holidays and workshops, makes it doubly special. (And lovely that it ended with Gartmore.) Enjoy filling the next one, I can’t wait to see all your photos of Nantes and hear about your adventure! Safe travels xx
