Japan day 11 2nd full day Kyoto

So! After all the excitement of yesterday I thought a chill day was in order! I saw there was a temple which was famous for its moss, it was up in the hills which just sounded perfect 

I got a main train then had to get a small local train which was quite cute, but when I got off I saw there was nowhere to get a return ticket? Single journey tickets seem to be the norm here so I wasn't sure how I was supposed to fet back, ach I could figure that out later 😆

It was a 15 minute walk up to the temple but what a lovely day for it!

This simply took my breath away

Look at these views over Kyoto,  one of my favourite moments last visit was finding a quiet temple up a hill, this was as perfect a moment

I almost didn't get my stamp 😳😳😳 I felt a bit bad because the chap was obviously on his break but he wasn't busy and this was my only chance so I just stood at the window till he got me my stamp, and what a cracker it is!

I got back down to the railway station and decided to walk to main railway station,  it was only half a hour and what a lovely day for it

On way back to the hotel I decided to try and find my favourite vending machine,  we all need a favourite vending machine - right? 😆😆 on our 2020 trip there was one vending machine beside our hotel which had this lovely melon cream Soda, I found it!!!!
