Finishing along and fettling 😊

We have recently started watching the Big bang theory (I know late to the game...) increasingly I find myself aligning with Sheldon.... and in a recent episode Amy tried to cure him of being a completist... He couldnt bear not to finish anything... Hey Sheldon "I hear ya!!!!" 😂😂😂so although there is no real Q4 for the #2020finishalong I'm still doing one 🤣🤣🤣 I just can't not, it's wrong wrong wrong not to do one! So 1=Garden Trellis, 2=dear Jane, 3 ishbel shawl, 4 = mini makes, 5= hole punch quilt, 6=hunters star, 7 =charm pack Libya, 8 =mini charm pack linus, 9 =Michael Powell x stitch, 10=spruced up quilt 😁 #2020falq3list and just for even more accountability I'm going to fettle those finishes too 😊

Fettling

Sooooo obvs I can't do all of these for the end of this year! I think I can realistically finish my hole punch ribbon quilt, my ishbel shawl, the mini charm pack quilt and possibly one of the minimakes. 

Rainbow quilt aka the one going the other way

 Oh I think I love this quilt a leeeeetl too much 😀 I’ve been collecting Helen Steel hand printed fabric for years. I was waiting for a pattern which would show off the fabulous patterns. The Glasgow Modern Quilt guild set a lock down challenge to make a rainbow quilt. I knew I wanted to use these fabrics  but what pattern? I looked and looked and looked, eventually I found a morning star block by Tracey jay quilts, it’s fpp. I chose the 16 inch version to get the quilt the right size. I know these photos are dreadful😂😂 honestly one day I will try a bit more and the light just now is shocking .... scroll on to see the hedgehogs.

Geckos!

Ah here is one who goes the other way 😂 in every animal panel, 

Helen always has one who walks the other way. My super chum Jacky loved these as do I. I bought extra panels so I could fussy cut the wayward hedgehogs 😂 you can also see here that I matched the binding. It was a bit of a faff but I think it was worth it.

I think the ???? Perfectly sum up 2020 ...

I love it, so much I’ll include it twice !
