Arcadia avenue

I think this was the quilt where FPP finally clicked for me, Arcadia Avenue by sassafras lane. Fab pattern, I didnt get many proper pictures of it finished so had to make do with this from the Stitch gathering that year. I used solids and yes i know i dont like solids but they worked really well on this quilt. Love the movement in it.

 

African clamshell

 Awwww this was such a fun and bright quilt to make! I always wanted to make a clamshell quilt. I had all these lovely shweshwe sfabrics and one with the beautiful elephant border print so this was the result! I have made a few more clamshell quilts since then but never one this big, it went to linus or siblings i think, still love looking at this picture.
